Four day weekend for you!! See you on Tuesday.
You likely completed your Social Studies work from page 205 to 209 and you might have a bit of refining left to do with your business letter, which is due on Tuesday. Other than that, I hope you have a lovely weekend filled with food and family...one might even say, the necessities of life.

Great work with your sentence structure and vocabulary usage in your essays. I'm looking forward to seeing what amazing convincing techniques you cam up with for your business letters. Next Week: Monday - one paragraph of your essay re-written based on feedback. Print just that paragraph, double spaced, and hand in it at the start of class. Have a great weekend!
I wrote February at first (probably 'cause it's still freezing outside) but it seems to have become March today.
Over the weekend, as you finalize your essays, please consider doing the following: 1. Remove the templates from your body paragraphs. What words do you need to add in between the sentences to help create flow? 2. Add in your intro paragraph before your body paragraphs, and your concluding paragraph after the body ones. (Five paragraphs in total) 3. Read through, then edit and revise your essay to the best of your abilities. 4. Record yourself reading your essay or have someone else read it to you. Have you been repetitive? Does your essay flow well? Is your thinking organized? Are your sentence types and beginnings varied? 5. Bring a printed copy of your essay to class on Monday. Watershed Proposals - I've reviewed all of them and feedback has been provided. I am missing a couple of people sharing their proposals with me. You know who you are so please get them to me ASAP. Next Week: Bamfield Parent Meeting on Wednesday evening. Escape Room begins! Love your story ideas!

We finished our novel, "Refugee". I think I can safely say that almost every one of you was totally invested in the outcome of the novel, and this makes me so happy. If you are interested in reading other novels by this author, his name is Alan Gratz. Next week is a regular looking week and no field studies or activities to post. Do ensure you have your watershed proposal ready for peer edit and your social studies notes completed. Have an awesome long weekend - I know I will :-) We've done a whole lot of work on sentences this week - fragments too! We will finish up with it next week and then begin more writing, in earnest.
